AUD Weekly and 3-day pattern

I have had no Weekly pattern set-ups play out this week, simply because the Weekly trend has continued down without rotation upwards into any midpoints.

It has been left to trade levels each day based on individual daily patterns, and Wednesday is the same.

Wedensday:- trade on the Side of the blue filter, continues down into the Wedenesday lows or rotates back towards the 5-day 50% level

Euro Weekly and 3-day pattern

Euro completes the move down into the Weekly lows, but on Tuesday there is a breakout, which often favours further moves down.

Wednesday:- no probability on direction but trade on the side of the blue filter.

Down into Wednesday's lows, but based on the Weekly low being random support and there hasn't been any rotations towards the 5-day 50% levels this week

Above 1.3244 and move back towards the 5-day 50% level is a possibility.

GBP Weekly and 3-day pattern

Weekly lows random support, but the trend guide should be based on the blue filter.

13th Jan 2009 AUD, EUR, GBP/USD Daily

AUD Weekly and 3-day pattern 11:10 am (Midnight GMT)

AUD has continued down breaking Monday's lows.

At this stage I would look for a continuation down:- random support Weekly lows

Trend guide blue filter and trade on the side of the filter:- random resistance with each 4 hour period.

Note:- whenever a 3-day range breaks price favour moving back towards the break the next day, which often aligns with the 5-day 50% level (3-day filter)

Euro Weekly and 3-day pattern

Monday has supported price and now there is an each way bet on Tuesday

Either price continues with the 3-day pattern down into the Weekly lows

or it swing upwards towards the 5-day 50% level and back towards the Weekly 50% levels

Trade on the side of the blue filter:- no probability on direction use spiral filters

GBP Weekly and 3-day pattern

GBP is doing what I though it was going to do last week.

Monday couldn't support the market and has pushed the price back below the Weekly 50% level confirmed with a 3-day break.

Ideal pattern on GBP would be to see price swing back towards Monday's break to retest the break and then continue down :- either on the same day but preferably from a higher daily open the next day.

Blue filter trend guide:- random resistance based on 4 hour patterns

AUD Weekly and 3-day pattern

As per Weekly report, whilst the AUD is above the January 50% level I'm looking for a move higher.

However, Sunday has pushed down below the January 50% level.

Monday:- 3-day filter random resistance with the expectation of price moving down into Monday's lows.

For the AUD to follow any higher moves in January price will begin with a breakout of the 3-day highs, and traders can use the 5-day 50% level the next day as support.

Otherwise stick with the trend, and on Monday it's below the timeframe 50% levels, and looks to be moving down into Monday's lows and the Weekly 50% level.

Euro Weekly and 3-day pattern

Bearish on the Euro, but looking for a 2-day swing towards the Weekly 50% level.

Monday:- no probability pattern

Trade on the side of the blue filter @ 1.3428.

Below and it's pushing down into Monday's lows & Weekly lows.

GBP Weekly and 3-day pattern

Bullish this week on the pound as per Weekly report, but looking for a move down into the higher timeframe 50% levels before any potential upswing.

Monday:- Ideal pattern would be to move up into the 3-day filter and down into Monday's lows.

If the Weekly trend is going to continue higher, then Monday's lows should support price and then rise higher on Tuesday from the 5-day 50% level.

Weekly Reports AUD, EUR, GBP 10 Jan 09

AUD Monthly and Weekly

AUD remains trading above the January 50% level with a view to continue higher towards the Quarterly 50% level.

Last Week's trading remained in a tight 5-day sideways pattern, but Friday closed on it's lows, resulting in a Weekly timeframe that closed on it's lows.

At this stage there isn't anything that suggests that the AUD will move down next week, because a new UP trend can easily move higher from a lower Weekly open and rising upwards from the monthly 50% level, as part of a 'Thrust Pattern'.

Daily report out on Monday after 11am

Euro Monthly and Weekly

My view was that after the December highs were reached the EURO would slowly move back down into the January 50% level along with the 3-week lows and then move up towards January's highs.

Everything played out precisely, along with Thursday's BUY set-up, but Friday's trading didn't follow through.

For the trend to continue higher in January, Friday had to swing back towards the Weekly 50% level, stall and move down early next week for 2 days and then Spring board upwards in the later part of next week.

Now the Euro looks more likely to head downwards.

It's below the Quarterly 50% level, failed at the January 50% level, and trading below the Weekly 50% levels.

Next Week:- Lower Weekly close and I would like to see a 2-day up move back into the Weekly 50% level to set-up any shorts from a Wednesday open.

It was the same pattern on the GBP, but on the GBP Tuesday moved higher (3-day breakout).

Therefore the Euro could do the same and still move towards the January highs, but at this stage all I'm looking for next week is a 2-day reversal back towards the Weekly 50% level.

Daily report out on Monday after 11am

GBP Monthly and Weekly

I was looking for GBP to follow SET UP A and continue down into January's lows, except it followed the rotation back towards the January 50% levels.

As pointed out in the Daily reports:- Tuesday moved too high resulting in a 3-day breakout, but that was pointed out and trading longs with Thursday's set-up allowed for a few pips on the upside.

Next Week:- I have the expectation that price is going to continue towards the Weekly highs & January 50% level.

Therefore the ideal set-up would be a rotation back down into the Weekly 50% levels, and then trade a lower Daily open and using the 50% levels as support.

Daily report out on Monday after 11am

9th January 2009 AUD, EUR, GBP Daily

AUD Weekly and 3-day pattern 9.15am

AUD has moved down into the Weekly BP (Thursday's lows) and bounced.

My view is the AUD to continue higher, which could result in a higher Friday close nearing the Weekly highs.

Friday:- I would think that the 3-day filter could resist price in a 4 hour period, but there is a potential continuation upwards during US trading hours.

EURO Weekly and 3-day pattern

Euro is acting in a precise manner with the expectation that next week will continue higher towards January's highs.

Thursday's blue filter support and then the breakout of the 3-day filter high sets up further gains.

If you are long on the Euro I would simply hold it with breakeven stops. (sit back and hold)

Friday:-5-day 50% level the trend guide with the expectation that price will continue higher towards Friday's highs.

GBP Weekly and 3-day pattern

Wednesday breakout and expectation that price would continue higher towards Thursday's highs.

Friday:- no probability pattern.

It is either going to continue higher:- higher weekly close means a higher Friday close.....

or it can reverse back down and close in the middle of the 5-day range and above the Monthly BP and the Weekly 50% level.

If that is the case then those levels will be viewed as support for the start of next week's trading.

AUD Weekly and 3-day pattern 10:00am

The bias for the AUD is continue higher, but at this stage price looks to be moving into a 5-day sideways pattern.

There was no probability pattern on Wednesday, and none on Thursday.

    eur1-8

    Euro Weekly and 3-day pattern

I'm bullish on the Euro because of certain patterns that have played out this week, as mentioned in yesterday's report.

blue channel support, just need to see a breakout of the 3-day filter and HOOK bar over the January 50% level.

Note: bearish pattern would be to see a higher daily open on Thursday sell down from the January 50% level (3-day filter yellow) and break Thursday's 3-day filter support (blue).

That could result in a complete change of view from last Week's Weekly report

    gbp1-8

    GBP Weekly and 3-day pattern

GBP hasn't followed my view of weakness in January, but I already had an idea basd on Tuesday's 3-day breakout.

Wednesday continued higher, and there is another breakout on Wednesday.

Thursday:- blue filter support up into Thursday's highs/

AUD Weekly and 3-day pattern. 9.20am

Bias this week is to continue higher and head towards the January highs, as per Weekly report.

    No probability on Wednesday.

Random resistance the Weekly highs, but there is a good chance that AUD could continue towards the January highs without stalling this week.

If shorting intra-day patterns take quick profits towards the blue filter

    EURO WEEKLY and 3-day pattern.

I was looking for a 'sell' pattern on Tuesday to come back to retest the 5-day 50% level and short trade down, but instead price continued down into the Weekly lows....

"The ideal set-up would be to push down into the January's 50% level and then continue higher using a 3-day pattern set-up.

Note:- often these patterns can also move back down into the 3-week lows, bounce off those lows and then set-up a higher move using HOOK patterns above the monthly 50% levels"
    Previou Weekly Report

The Euro has completed the move down into the Weekly lows and now I'm looking for move towards the January highs, as per Weekly report.

Firstly we need to see a Daily HOOK bar over the January 50% levels.

There can be two patterns that play out....

This week swings off the Weekly lows and continues higher.....or this week moves into a stalling pattern and the new UP trends begins from the start of next week.

I don't know which will occur, but this down move has completed the pattern that I wanted to see before any higher move this month occurs. (read the Weekly report)

    GBP Weekly and 3-day pattern

My view on GBP is to continue lower in January, but first I wanted to see a move up towards the Weekly 50% level before any down trend continued.

The ideal set-up was:- a higher daily close on Tuesday and then look for a 'sell' pattern on Wednesday.

The only problem is.... Tuesday moved higher than expected resulting in a 3-day breakout pattern, which doesn't favour a 'sell' pattern.

The only short-term sell pattern would be a move up into Wednesday's highs and reverse back down into the 5-day 50% level, as this pattern would be part of retesting the 3-day break from Tuesday, which aligns with the 5-day 50% level.

  • 6th January 2009 AUD/EUR/GBP Daily

AUD Weekly and 3-day pattern 9.30am

Expectation that the AUD is moving higher, but didn't get down into the 5-day 50% level.

Tuesday:- I would still like to see th AUD move down towards the Weekly balance point and then look for longs from a lowr daily open.

    3-day filter (yellow) random resistance.

    EURO Weekly and 3-day pattern

Expectation of a move down in early January to test the Monthly 50% level has played out with a breakout of Monday's lows.

Tuesday:- breakout pattern would need to see price back into the 5-day 50% level and short trade down again.

Random length would be down into Tuesday's lows, but not sure if it would get down that low.

Don't short trade above the 5-day 50% level

    GBP Daily and 3-day pattern

Expectation of weakness on the GBP, but first wanted to see a move back towards the Weekly 50% level before any trend continues down.

Tuesday:- ideally a move up from the 5-day 50% level towards Tuesday's highs.

    Tuesday's highs random resistance.

If the Sell pattern is going to play out, then Tuesday should move up towards the Weekly 50% level and Tuesday's highs and stall, and then we look for a 'sell' set-up on Wednesday

  • 5th Jan 2009 AUD, EUR, GBP/USD Daily

AUD Weekly and 3-day pattern 11:15am

As per Weekly report:- Friday close above January's 50% level with the expectation of higher prices.

Monday:- Ideally pattern for any higher moves this week would be for price to come down on Monday test the January 50% level, the Weekly balance point and the 5-day 50% level.

IF Monday can be supported above those levels then look for higher prices on Tuesday.

    EURO Weekly and 5-day pattern

As per Weekly report:- Below Weekly 50% level and bias is to continue down into January's 50% level.

3-day filter resistance, if above then Monday's highs is resistance, which align's with Sunday's 3-day filter resistance.

    GBP Weekly and 3-day pattern

As per Weekly report, bias is to continue down in January, but at this stage there is no set-up to trade any down move.

Ideally a move up into the 3-day filter, stalling around a 4hour top and then look for some weakness intra-day....

    No probability pattern on Monday

    AUD/USD 3rd January 2009 Weekly

    AUD/USD Monthly

Monthly close above the December 50% level, therefore the expectation is to continue towards January's highs.

There is still a 4th Quarter breakout, which could still see the AUD around the 2009 1st Quarter lows, but at this stage the bias is to continue higher.

    AUD Weekly

Trend guide is the January 50% level and Weekly balance point....

Hopefully in the Daily reports there will be a decent 3-day set-up to capture in higher moves in January
